Who we are

Hitsy is developed by Emil Alexander Lindgren, a sole trader registered in Sweden. Questions about this policy: thehitsyapp@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

All of the following is stored only on your iPhone or iPad, and never leaves it except as described under “Local multiplayer” below:

• Your profile name and photo, if you choose to add them.
• The most recent local roster — the names and small avatars of players from your last game on this device, kept for five minutes so back-to-back games don’t require retyping, then discarded.
• Your settings — language, sound preference, and whether you have seen the first-launch screens.
• A random identifier generated on this device. It is a random value with no connection to you, your Apple Account, or your hardware; it exists so a phone that drops out of a multiplayer game can be matched back to its own player slot when it rejoins.
• Cached song information from Apple’s catalogue, so the same song does not have to be looked up twice.
• Your game progress — stars earned and abilities owned.

Deleting the app removes all of it.

Local multiplayer

When you play with other devices in the same room, Hitsy connects them directly to each other over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth using Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity framework. No internet server is involved and the connection is encrypted by iOS.

During a game, your device sends the following to the other devices taking part:

• Your profile name and photo, so the other players can see whose turn it is
• Your chosen player colour
• The random device identifier described above
• Whether the device has a Hitsy Premium subscription — this only controls a badge in the lobby
• Game moves and scores

This information goes only to the devices you are playing with, only while you are playing, and only to the extent needed to run the game. We never receive it.

Camera and photo library

If you set a profile picture, Hitsy asks for access to your camera or photo library. The image you pick is stored on your device and shared with the other players in a local game as described above. Nothing else in your photo library is read, and no image is uploaded anywhere.

Apple services

Hitsy plays music through Apple Music, and uses Apple’s services in three ways:

• Apple Music (MusicKit). With your permission, the app plays songs through your Apple Music subscription, or 30-second previews if you do not have one. Your interaction with Apple Music is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one.
• Apple’s iTunes Search API. The app looks up song details and preview audio. These requests contain song titles and artist names — never anything about you.
• Purchases. The Hitsy Premium subscription is sold and billed by Apple. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card, address, or Apple Account.

Children

Hitsy is rated 13+ because it plays commercially released popular music, whose lyrics are not under our control. The app collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, and erase personal data held about you. Since we hold none — there is no server and no account — there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete. The data described above is under your own control on your device, and removing the app erases it. If you believe otherwise, contact us at the address above; you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.

Det som stannar på din enhet

Allt nedanstående lagras enbart på din iPhone eller iPad och lämnar den aldrig, utom enligt ”Lokal flerspelare” nedan:

• Ditt profilnamn och din profilbild, om du väljer att lägga till dem.
• Den senaste lokala spelaruppsättningen — namn och små avatarer från ditt förra spel på enheten, sparade i fem minuter så att två spel i rad inte kräver att alla skriver in sig igen, därefter raderade.
• Dina inställningar — språk, ljudval och om du har sett introduktionsskärmarna.
• En slumpmässig identifierare som skapas på enheten. Den är ett slumpvärde utan koppling till dig, ditt Apple-konto eller din hårdvara, och finns för att en telefon som tappar kontakten under ett flerspelarspel ska kunna matchas tillbaka till rätt spelarplats.
• Cachad låtinformation från Apples katalog, så att samma låt inte behöver slås upp två gånger.
• Dina framsteg i spelet — intjänade stjärnor och köpta förmågor.

Om du raderar appen försvinner allt detta.

Lokal flerspelare

När du spelar med andra enheter i samma rum kopplar Hitsy ihop dem direkt med varandra över wifi och Bluetooth med Apples ramverk Multipeer Connectivity. Ingen server på internet är inblandad, och anslutningen krypteras av iOS.

Under ett spel skickar din enhet följande till de andra enheterna som deltar:

• Ditt profilnamn och din profilbild, så att övriga ser vems tur det är
• Din valda spelarfärg
• Den slumpmässiga enhetsidentifieraren som beskrivs ovan
• Om enheten har ett Hitsy Premium-abonnemang — det styr endast en märkning i lobbyn
• Speldrag och poäng

Uppgifterna går bara till de enheter du spelar med, bara medan ni spelar, och bara i den omfattning spelet kräver. Vi tar aldrig emot dem.

Kamera och bildbibliotek

Om du väljer en profilbild ber Hitsy om åtkomst till kameran eller bildbiblioteket. Bilden du väljer sparas på din enhet och delas med övriga spelare i ett lokalt spel enligt ovan. Inget annat i ditt bildbibliotek läses, och ingen bild laddas upp någonstans.

Apples tjänster

Hitsy spelar musik via Apple Music och använder Apples tjänster på tre sätt:

• Apple Music (MusicKit). Med din tillåtelse spelar appen låtar via ditt Apple Music-abonnemang, eller 30-sekunders förhandslyssningar om du saknar abonnemang. Din användning av Apple Music omfattas av Apples integritetspolicy, inte denna.
• Apples iTunes Search API. Appen slår upp låtuppgifter och ljudklipp. Förfrågningarna innehåller låttitlar och artistnamn — aldrig något om dig.
• Köp. Abonnemanget Hitsy Premium säljs och faktureras av Apple. Betalningsuppgifter hanteras helt av Apple; vi ser aldrig ditt kort, din adress eller ditt Apple-konto.

Barn

Hitsy har åldersgränsen 13+ eftersom appen spelar kommersiellt utgiven populärmusik vars texter vi inte råder över. Appen samlar inte in personuppgifter från någon, oavsett ålder.

Dina rättigheter

Enligt GDPR har du rätt att få tillgång till, rätta och radera personuppgifter om dig. Eftersom vi inte har några — det finns varken server eller konto — finns ingenting för oss att lämna ut eller radera. Uppgifterna ovan står under din egen kontroll på din enhet, och de raderas när du tar bort appen. Om du bedömer att så inte är fallet, kontakta oss på adressen ovan. Du har också rätt att lämna klagomål till Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).

Ändringar

Om policyn ändras publiceras den nya versionen på denna adress med ett nytt datum högst upp. Väsentliga ändringar noteras även i appens versionsinformation.
